Before After is an offline-first iPhone camera and media app. It keeps project work on your device and gives you control over what leaves it.
No account or sign-in is required. Before After has no custom backend, cloud sync, advertising, tracking, or usage-analytics SDK.
Project names, original Before and After photos, thumbnails, capture metadata, alignment results, Position Reference photos, Brand Kit settings, editing presets, and generated media are stored locally in the app container. Capture, alignment, rendering, video creation, persistence, and project-backup validation happen on the device.
Camera access is used to capture project photos. Photos access is used only when you select a logo or explicitly save exported images, videos, or originals. If Photos access is unavailable, compatible files can still be passed to Apple’s native share sheet.
You explicitly choose what leaves the device through Save, Share, or project backup/export actions. Destinations you select through Apple’s share sheet have their own privacy practices, and their handling of shared files is governed by their policies.
A Before After project backup contains the selected project’s metadata and media. You control where the backup is saved or sent. Backup validation and restoration happen on the device.
Deleting a project removes its locally owned project data after confirmation. Previously exported copies in Photos, Files, device backups, or third-party destinations must be deleted separately.
Before After offers optional monthly and annual Pro subscriptions and a lifetime Pro unlock through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes payments, and pricing is localized through the App Store.
RevenueCat is used to load purchase options and maintain Pro access. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier and the purchase history needed for purchase functionality and entitlement maintenance. Buckaroo Bytes does not provide RevenueCat with a custom user identity.
RevenueCat never receives project names, project photos, Position Reference photos, branding, editing data, or generated media. The app keeps a limited local entitlement record so verified Pro access can work safely offline. Before After does not track users across apps or websites.
